To get started, just click the purchase button, go to the check out page and submit your payment information. Once your payment is received, you will be taken to a confirmation page which guides you step-by-step through the process of submitting all the information we need to set up your blog:
Set up your domain name. Watch the step-by-step video and follow the prompts to set up your domain name (this is the address people need to find your blog on the web)
Set up your web hosting. Watch the step-by-step video and follow the prompts to set up your web hosting (this is the rent you pay for the place where your website lives online)
Find a premium theme. This is the fun part! Browse StudioPress to find a premium theme for your website (these designs will blow you away - your blog is going to look amazing!)
Enter the requested information into the fields provided so Kerry, your blog mechanic, can get to work building your site.
When the website is built and Kerry forwards you your login details, you can start blogging, writing content and uploading images to your WordPress site immediately.
Your blog will be live and people will be able to find it at your domain name address instantly.

Frequently Asked Questions
In order to set up your blog you will need to purchase a domain name and web hosting. Some customers may already have one or both of these, but if you don’t (or if you’re not sure what they are!), don’t worry, the Blog Setup Service will provide you with tutorials on how to buy them.
In general, domain names are billed annually and prices start at 99 cents while web hosting is billed either monthly or annually with prices starting at around $4 per month.
Your domain name and web hosting need to be purchased through external companies who will bill you monthly or annually for as long as your website is active online. These will be ongoing expenses for your business, while the Blog Setup Service is a one time fee to get your blog built and live on the web.
Kerry at the Blog Mechanic recommends purchasing the domain name separately so it is easier to transfer if you decide to change web hosts at a later date.
Although we have our preferred and recommended web host, we are happy to work with any hosting provider you choose. However, you must have cPanel and FTP access with your account.
It will take approximately three business days for your new blog to be set up to look like the demo on the StudioPress website. If we experience a high volume of traffic and cannot meet this timeline, we will advise you as soon as possible.
Kerry will set your blog up to look like the StudioPress demo version you select from the StudioPress website. The demo content (images and text) will be imported into your website so you can get a feel for how the site will look when you add your own content. Kerry will show you how to delete it when you start adding your own content.
Otherwise, your blog will be a blank canvas, waiting for you to fill it with pages, blog posts, images, videos and information. The Blog Setup Services package is a bit like hiring a builder to construct a house. We build the walls and the foundations and make sure it is safe to live in, but you will need to take care of the decorating and fill it with content so it feels like a home.
If you have a logo you would like uploaded, email Kerry after you have sent her your details for setting up the blog. Different themes require logos to be different sizes so Kerry will advise what dimensions your logo needs to be to fit the theme you’ve chosen.
Blog Setup Services is a low one time fee only, so we can't possibly provide ongoing support after your site is setup. If you do need ongoing support with WordPress and the technical side of building your online business after your blog is set up, you should consider one of Kerry's monthly support plans.
Don’t worry! We take care of the most difficult part of setting up a blog - integrating your web host with WordPress, installing and configuring the theme so it looks like the demo and installing key plugins.
The Blog Setup Services package includes a 128 page guide to using WordPress for blogging which will helps you better understand the technology.
